Unfair trading practices are categorised and recorded nationally on the Consumer Direct (CD) database. For the purpose of this template these practices will be termed category x practices. Counting procedure - The indicator measures the proportion of businesses complained against, where complaints are referred from CD to Local Authority Trading Standards Services (TSS). Businesses are only recognised in the calculation where they have generated more than the agreed minimum threshold of complaints. Choice of threshold (and whether one threshold is appropriate for businesses of all sizes in all sectors) requires further consideration. |
