Private rent determinations for Housing Benefit (HB)

The purpose of the dataset is to provide an indication of the geographical distribution of private tenants' applications for Housing Benefit, to show the size, type and age of dwellings concerned, the rents charged by landlords and the relevant Local Reference Rent (LRR). The figures presented cover the total number of private tenants' applications for Housing Benefit, and the Pre-Tenancy Housing Benefit eligibility determination by the Rent Service (RS) under the provisions of the Housing Act 1988. The dataset uses data from applications for both normal and pre tenancy determinations.
