Business demography: Enterprise births and deaths

The numbers of business enterprise 'births' and 'deaths' as a proportion of the active enterprise population for the same reference year. An enterprise is considered to be active in the reference year if it has either turnover or employment at any time from October of the previous year to October of the reference year. Enterprise births and deaths are a comparison of these active units year on year. Please note the time periods in this dataset are not standard
