This dataset includes FCEs and discharges where the individual is resident in England and being treated in an English hospital only. The English total also includes additional counts of instances when the PCO of residence is missing, and when the individual was treated but not resident in England, hence the sum of GOR total will not equal these total figures.

In order to protect the confidentiality of individual information, these data have been rounded and consequently the sums of PCOs may not add up to the corresponding SHAs, or SHAs to the corresponding GOR totals. Figures have not been adjusted for shortfalls in data, i.e. the data are all ungrossed
