Jobs Density
Data on the number of employee jobs located in the local area and a measure of ‘Jobs Density’ – jobs per working age population has been updated for 2010. The total number of jobs is a workplace-based measure and comprises employee jobs, self-employed, government-supported trainees and HM Forces. Data is available down to Local Authority District level levels.
Fuel Poverty
The Department of Energy and Climate Change have released small area (LSOA) estimates of the proportion of households experiencing fuel poverty in 2010. Fuel poverty is said to occur when in order to heat its home to an adequate standard of warmth a household needs to spend more than 10% of its income on total fuel use.
